MECOTEC is the world leader in electric whole-body cryotherapy. The Cryo:One+ is an enclosed chamber with clear doorway enabling clear view into and out of the chamber while in use. The chamber can hold up to two people at once enabling dual sessions to be carried out. Using electric means the use of potentially hazardous substances such as Nitrogen gas is avoided and therefore makes the MECOTEC Cryo:One+ one of the safest whole-body cryotherapy chambers on the market.

FAQs
-
Cryotherapy is short-term (1- to 3-minute) exposure to extreme cold. In our Mecotec CryoOne+ chamber you will be exposed to temperatures as low as minus 85 degrees Celsius. The exposure to extreme cold induces a physiological response from the body which can help reduce pain and inflammation.
-
First we will ask you to remove all your clothes bar your undergarments (no metal or underwired bras can be worn in the chamber). You may wear shorts and a t-shirt inside the chamber if you wish. We will provide gloves, a headband, shoes and socks.
You will spend 1 - 3 minutes in the chamber itself. You will be monitored at all times by a member of our team and the session can end at your request at any point during the session.
You will feel immediate benefits from pain relief to skin tightening to improved mood.

Please ensure all undergarments are free from metal. No underwired bras are allowed in the cryochamber. You will be asked to remove your outer clothing and you can choose to go in the chamber either just in your undergarments, or with a shorts and t-shirt on top. We will provide gloves, socks, headband and face mask for you to wear in the chamber to protect your extremities from the cold.

Many benefits can be felt immediately such as mood boost, skin tightness and pain relief. In order to experience the maximum benefit, courses of a minimum of 10 sessions are recommended.
For maximum benefit, up to 3 times per week is recommended.
Conditions such as eczema, acne, psoriasis and arthritis will benefit from regular sessions over a long period of time. The same can be said for elite athletes wishing to improve performance.
We offer discounts on block bookings of 10 sessions or more for this reason.

An ice bath is another recognised form of cryotherapy, but typically only goes down to 10 - 15 degrees Celsius.
Despit being much colder than an ice bath, the cryochamber is a ‘dry’ cold, so is therefore a much more bearable and popular option compared to ice baths.
