Seasonal Affective Disorder - How Honington Grange Wellness and Rehabilitation can help you.

Struggling with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)? We can help you!

SAD is similar to depression except symptoms come and go in a seasonal pattern, with symptoms being mainly present during the winter. Symptoms include low mood, lack of energy, loss of enthusiasm for activities you would usually enjoy and feelings of irritability. According to the NHS, 1 in 15 people suffer from SAD between September and April.

LED Light Therapy boosts serotonin levels (which is our happy hormone) which are low during the winter months due to a lack of sunlight. There is more information on LED Light Therapy here.

Cryotherapy has been proven to relieve symptoms of depression by raisin serotonin and endorphin levels as a result of being exposed to the extreme cold. Endorphins are proteins which reduce pain and emotional stress. There is more information on Cryotherapy here.

Even if you are just looking for a peaceful place to sit, relax and unwind, our beautiful pool room is the perfect setting. Our swimming pool is open to any clients who book block bookings of treatments in the cryochamber, infra red sauna or LED light therapy.

Don’t take our word for it, come and try for yourself!
